Famous faces like Kylie Minogue, Elizabeth Hurley and Yasmin le Bon have all sat under the beauty brushes of international make-up maestro Kim Jacob. But after a decade of music videos and front-cover shoots, what's a girl to do? Settle down, have a family and launch a beauty range for mother and baby, of course!
Kim's range, Angelique, is full of heavenly (and all-natural) scents, skin-loving ingredients and softer-than-a-baby's-bottom textures, which is why it's become a hot-want by celebrity mothers Louise Rednapp, Nigella Lawson and eco-conscious model, Laura Bailey.
After using nothing but olive oil on her first child, Kim wanted to create something a little more luxurious but without the petrochemicals, artificial fragrances, colours and preservatives of usual baby and beauty products. "You wouldn't give petrol to your baby to drink, so why put it on its skin? I used to use olive oil on my first child because nothing else was good enough," says Kim boldly.
Today she uses her own products that ooze with high antioxidant ingredients like olive oil jelly, rose and starflower oil. And if you like bit of beauty-multitasking then you must try Angelique Massage Balm, which is loved by her make-up artist friends as it conveniently doubles up as a cleansing balm and works wonders on eczema-prone skin too.Angelique, from £9.79 available to buy online at http://www.angelique.co.uk
