As much as we love having our nails done, waiting for them to dry is a big fat bore. Hence why we were hysterical when the news of Creative Nail Design's Shellac reached InStyle HQ.
We went straight to our fave nail guru David Barton - whose painted the nails of every A-lister, from Victoria Beckham to Marina Diamandis - at Percy and Reed Hair Salon, to get Shellac'd. The genious technology consists of a base, gel colour coat (our fave is Tropix) and top coat which are all sealed together using a UV lamp. The smudge-free colour lasts for up to two weeks and they are 100% touch dry - instantly. You can either pop back to the salon to have them soaked off or use the Remover Wraps for a DIY job.
Bet booked in sharpish girls, this is a mani marvel!
P.S Keep you eyes on David, not only is he busy Shellac'ing every beauty and fashion editor, he's also just been annouced as Maybelline New York's new nail expert. Congrats David!
