MAC Cosmetics has added Proenza Schouler to its rank of collaborators as it announces a new collection with the New York fashion duo.
Combining forces for a must-own spring colour collection, the new make-up line is set to include ombre face powders, lipstick, Pro Longwear eyeliners, lip pencils, nail lacquers and an all-purpose powder brush.
Despite moving away from their bold prints and colour injection on the runway in recent seasons, the beauty range has been inspired by the label’s signature use of bold shades.
On their exciting collaboration, the men behind the brand, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, said, "Beauty has always played a huge role in what we do on the runway and MAC has been one of our biggest supporters.
“We wanted to create something that the Proenza Schouler woman could relate to off the runway, and the MAC brand is so deeply rooted in fashion that we knew they would understand our vision.”
The limited edition MAC Cosmetics collection by Proenza Schouler is set to launch in April 2014. Which frankly, feels like forever away! JB
