Kirsten Dunst has started 2014 with a bang, as it was announced today that she's been named the very first L’Oréal Professionnel global spokesperson.
The 31-year-old actress will front the French beauty brand's new launches of Wild Stylers from Tecni.Art in January 2014, Beach Waves and Absolut Repair Lipidium in June 2014.
While Ms Dunst is known for her au naturel look, she's ramped up the glamour for her new beauty role with kohl-rimmed eyes and a head of voluminous blonde curls.
'I feel very close to L’Oréal Professionnel', Kirsten said. 'The brand is strongly connected to fashion and I admire its commitment to innovation, constantly creating new professional services and products to achieve the most on-trend styles. L’Oréal Professionnel empowers hairdressers to transform and reveal the beauty in each woman all over the world. It makes me very proud to be a part of this stunning project.'
Anne-Laure Lecerf, international managing director of L’Oréal Professionnel, picked Kirsten for her 'timeless beauty' and 'close connection to fashion'.
'She has a strong personality and makes her own choices. Her great professionalism and commitment to excellence make Kirsten one of the talented actresses I have ever met. She has the perfect attributes to embody the new values of L’Oréal Professionnel,' Anne-Laure Lecerf added.
Since Kirsten's award-winning turn in Lars Von Triers' 2011 film Melancholia, the actress has kept something of a low profile. However, with the release of her new thriller The Two Faces of January this month, we can expect to see a lot more of the Spiderman beauty. And hopefully some stylish red carpet appearances, too.
