Top man-icurist and Chanel's first ever celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik invited InStyle to meet up for nails, cocktails and a chat about his amazing new gel polish range...
With Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria and J-Lo as devotees, not to mention being the the man behind those stunning nails in Beyonce's video for Why Don't You Love Me? (it's Chanel Nouvelle Vague by the way), Tom Bachik knows exactly what women want when it comes to manis.
In fact, Tom's amazing A-list fingertip-tending is so sought after, that finally he decided to bring a little of his incredible expertise to us mere mortals in the form of his fantastic new soak-off gel polish Artistic Colour Gloss.
Inspired by celebs who wanted their manis to last, Tom created the 21 day polish as an easy way for ladies on-the-go to have gorgeously groomed nails without the weekly maintenance - sounds good to us!
And he even brought a bit of celeb-chic to the colours, revealing; "Victoria Beckham was the inspiration behind the light beige shade Posh." Very VB.
Over a Cheeky cocktail (named after his scarlet red polish), we quizzed Tom on his top tips for new season nails.
"This summer is all about brights - maybe not so much neons, but rich intense shades with real depth and a more natural, rounder shape than previous seasons," Tom told InStyle.
And with the AW11 season showcasing on runways, Tom predicts: "Fall 2011 will be big on deeper, richer shades, not dark, but deep and intense, with metallics, iridescent chunks and shimmers."
So, InStyle's verdict on the polish? It's now one week into our 21 day polish test and we can confirm no chipping or dullness, just gorgeous glossy nails which look freshly manicured.
Available in salons across the country, Artistic Colour Gloss starts at £25 for a full set. Visit louellabelle.co.uk to find your nearest salon.
