Drew Barrymore has been dishing the details on her new beauty venture, Flower, in the November issue of InStyle.
Talking us through her recent move into the make-up realm – topping up her already impressive career portfolio of Hollywood films and producing her own wine, yum – Drew insists beauty goes hand-in-hand with motherhood.
“The beauty venture was a good thing for me to do as I became a parent,” says the Charlie’s Angels actress, who gave birth to her first child, daughter Olive, in September 2012.
“Olive is going to pick up a lot on the way I behave, so by being a businesswoman and caring about the things I do, or by being philanthropic with my charity work, I can show her how important it is to get outside of your own world.”
The actress and mother has entered the industry head on, launching a debut 181 product line, “I want to spend a lot more of my time on it because it’s something I’ve been passionate about since I was a kid. I love beauty.
“I love everything related to beauty and putting all of it together: the packaging, the formula, the presentation.”
