Diptyque make the fashionistas' favourite scented candles (it's just a matter of deciding whether Baies or Tuberose are more 'toi') and now the French company that specialises in delighting our olfactory glands with home fragrance have turned their hand to a line of bodycare products. The inspiration for the Art Du Soin (Art of Body Care) range is travel; and frankly, seeing as 2009 is turning out to be the year of the 'staycation' (euro-sterling exchange rate, anyone?) if our bathtime can take us on a cruise of the Mediterranean, so much the better. There's Iris from Florence, apricots from Cordoba, rose from Byzantium, Orange Blossom from Alexandria… It just sounds like azure seas and Mediterranean hideaways to us!
The collection is based around the rituals of bathing so there's a body wash and precious oil for bath time and a rich body butter and fresh lotion to moisturise. Each product is infused with one of the fragrances, each being either woody or floral and they are all complimentary so you can layer as you like.
