Dior's jazzy new A/W make-up

Dior's jazzy new A/W make-up

Inspired by John Galliano's flamboyant catwalk collections, Christian Dior's new purple range is a luxurious beauty treat.

It's August, and naturally the A/W collections are becoming an ever increasing fashion occupation for us. How will we work statement shoulders? Can we ever get enough 80s fashion? Is draping do-able? And will we really be able to pull of a full-on leather look?

These are the sartorial dilemmas being discussed at the InStyle offices right now and with the change in wardrobes comes a change in our make-up regimes, too.

One collection we're totally taken with is Christian Dior's Purple range. The products were created by Dior's artistic director, Tyen, who has worked his magic at the beauty brand for 30 years.

Each item and the looks they achieve were inspired by John Galliano's catwalk beauty looks as seen on the Dior A/W runway.

Smoky Parisian jazz venues also influenced the collection, which includes everything from nail polish to eye palettes in deep plum shades and smoky hues.

The must-have item in the range is the Jazz Club eye palette, which comes in a clutch bag-style compact and includes four shadow shades plus eyeliner and brow colour.

Try the smoky version for a more classic smoky look or the purple for a totally on-trend treat. Both are designed to blend and  give you a sultry evening look.

And we think we may well have found our favourite nail polish of the season in their rich, glossy Black Plum shade.
