Chanel has just unveiled the groundbreaking pictures of Brad Pitt starring in the new campaign for the legendary No.5 fragrance. Looking typically handsome, Brad makes his debut as Chanel’s first No.5 man standing in front of a bare wall wearing a shirt and white trousers.
The 47-year-old actor is the first male in history to represent a women’s fragrance, following in the stylish footsteps of Coco Chanel, Vanessa Paradis, Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou to become the new face of Chanel’s iconic scent.
Speaking about his new role, Brad stated: “What’s important to remember about Chanel N°5 is how revolutionary this fragrance is. When it was introduced, it broke all the rules by discarding meaningless ornamentation for an honest and open aesthetic, and a scent which embodies liberation from trend, creating a fragrance which remains as modern today as it was during its inception. Chanel N°5 has always been the most iconic women’s fragrance.”
Atonement director Joe Wright directed the videos, while photographer Sam Taylor-Johnson shot the accompanying pictures.
