A certain well-known country house hotel has a major new rival in the beauty stakes. Cowley Manor, the ultra-contemporary Cotswolds country cousin of L'Hotel in Paris (home from home for Matthew Williamson and Dita von Teese when they're in town for fashion week), has just launched the most adorable bath and body care range called Green & Spring.
Green & Spring, a delicious riff on the themes of Relaxing, Indulging and Revitalising, was inspired and informed by the goodness of nature's bounty. Did you know that Cowley Manor has five springs in its grounds? Nope, me neither. But that mineral-rich spring water is incorporated in Green & Spring, as are therapeutic plants native to Britain such as marshmallow, comfrey and dandelion. Each product in the 23-strong range - from extraordinarily light bath oil to velvety exfoliating body balm - is illustrated with a logo of a British bird such as a lapwing or a kingfisher. Soooo cute. The range ticks all the right eco-boxes too. Come autumn a matching skincare line is promised, plus candles for the home and Christmas sets. Feelgood beauty at its finest, we say.
Green & Spring, from £7.50 to £28, available at www.greenandspring.com
