Runway to red carpet: How to wear red lips and sunkissed skin

Summer lips are normally boring: see-through, shiny or subtly stained! So it was such a relief when we spied the statement-red shades at this years spring/summer Micheal Kors show.

The scarlet stains on the Michael Kors runways somehow made the traces of tanned skin look so much hotter! Chloe Sevigny works the red-lip-and-sunkissed-skin combo perfectly here! Just enough bronzer is brushed over the forehead and cheeks and a coat of reddish semi-matte lipstick makes the look pop! What's not to love?

These are the essential products you need to work it yourself!

Get the look:

1. After applying your base, dust on a non-sparkly bronzer like Tropiques Minerale in Ocre Rouge by Lancome over your forehead and cheeks.

2. To make the lips look less full-on but still colour-happy, dab Sinner 90 Percent Pigment in Red Sinner by Lipstick Queen (available at SpaceNK) onto the middle of your lips and finger-blend the colour outwards.

3. Define (but don't overload) lashes with a single coat of Glam Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara by Rimmel.
