How to copy Cameron Diaz’s red lips

Cameron and co are ditching the play-it-safe-for-summer see-through lip looks and braving it with all shades of rouge! Here’s how to summerise the beauty look in four easy steps...

1. Scrub off dead skin 

Help give colour staying power by rubbing a damp, hot towel over your lips to remove dry skin, which, if not tackled will cause ugly-looking chapping. 

 2. Moisturise

Rub a nourishing lip balm like Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 over your lips to help prep the surface for smooth application and help prevent the colour bleeding. 

 3. Choose your red

Cameron's make-up artist, Gucci Westman, used Revlon's Top Tomato shade, which is a great suits-all colour. If you're not used to wearing lipstick, try a tinted balm instead. Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick in Berry is high on colour but looks after your lips, too.  

4. Apply the colour

To keep the look casual for summer, dot on some colour onto the middle of your lips and finger-blend it outwards so the shade covers your whole mouth. For extra staying power, blot the edges of your lips with some translucent powder with a brush or powder puff.
